With the closure of Sport Hallam gyms from December 21st to January 2nd, we understand that many members may be looking for alternative ways to support their physical and mental wellbeing during this time. Here are some initiatives and activities happening in and around Sheffield that you can get involved in:

Parkrun - Sheffield

Overview: Parkrun is a free, weekly event that takes place at various locations across Sheffield. It's open to all ages and abilities, and it’s a fantastic way to get outdoors, exercise, and meet people. Even though the gyms are closed, Parkrun offers a great opportunity to stay active and support your mental health.

Dates: Parkruns are held every Saturday at different locations, including Hillsborough Park and Endcliffe Park.

Sheffield Walking Group

Overview: The Sheffield Walking Group is hosting walks over the Christmas period, including on Boxing Day. It’s an excellent way to get outside, stay active, and reduce stress in a friendly, supportive group environment.
